“Why don’t we talk about safety at home.”  In a special Partnership with Mohawk Valley Community College we will be presenting this special meeting that will focus on the ones we care about the most in life – our families. The biggest tragedies in our life are when someone in our family gets hurt or killed. Some risks are unavoidable such as health issues. Others are completely avoidable. We will focus on the following subjects: Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI’s), Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detectors, Fire Extinguishers, lawn care equipment (Lawnmowers, weed whackers and other powered equipment.), pool safety, smoke detectors, snow blower safety, Pesticides/ Chemicals in the home, and wood burning stove safety/care.

Because this subject touches more than our work lives we will be opening this meeting to the general public – so invite your family and friends. There will be several different presenters. We will be drawing on the experts from our community that we do not normally get to communicate with. Partnering with MVCC allows us to reach a wider audience and to improve all of the lives in our community. Join us for this extended meeting and learn some important things that might save the lives of the ones you love.
